The mission of the Cohoes Multi-Service Senior Citizens Center, Inc. is to promote the dignity of older adults living in the community; and to provide the programs and services needed to support their living healthy and productive lives.

FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS DESK:

In the coming months, we will be reviewing and changing the Seniors Today newsletter we
send out. We want to make the newsletter as interesting and relevant to you as we can. We know
how important the calendar and the menu of meals is to everyone, but we want to know more.
Would you like to see some recipes? Would you like to see some home care tips? Would you like
to see more about politics affecting seniors? We would like to know what you want to see. So, if
you would like to see something new in the newsletter, let us know. You can call us at 235-2420 or

I would like to start by making the first issue into something fun. I want to make it into the
yearbook edition. So, I want pictures of all of you when you became seniors. Now, you get to
decide what that means. It can mean a picture of you when you were a senior in high school,
college, the age you were eligible to join AARP, or when you hit the age to be considered a senior
by the social security administration. You can decide a moment in your life when you became a
senior. You can drop off your pictures here at the Senior Center Monday through Friday from 9
am to 4 pm. You must leave your name, address, and telephone number with your picture so that
we can make the appropriate arrangements to return it to you. You can also email your pictures to
khornbrook@cohoesseniorcenter.org. Please put “Senior Yearbook” in the subject line of your
email. Please indicate whether or not you would like us to print your name along with your
photograph and the year it was taken. All photos must be sent to the Senior Center by Friday, July
25, 2008.

I look forward to seeing everyone’s photographs and producing this first issue of the newsletter
with you.
