“We are very grateful to our community for their support.  It is our hope that over the last few months we have not only raised the money we needed but also an awareness of our programs and services and the importance of programs for older adults in our community.” says Keith Hornbrook, Executive Director.
While this Legacy Campaign has been successfully completed, the need for donations and community support continues as the Center braces, Donations will always be accepted

Dear Community Member,

Earlier this summer, we asked for your help in continuing a legacy of community service started at the cohoes multi-service senior citizens center almost 45 years ago. with rising costs and reduced government aid, we need the community’s support to continue programs and services now more than ever.

"it means a place for me to, now that i'm up in age, to have a place to come and enjoy myself and to have a meal. and that somebody else can help to take care of me, after i gave my life to take care of somebody else," -Homer Duquette, 17 year member

in june, we launched a $50,000 legacy campaign to help keep our doors from closing. we are excited to tell you that we have reached $47,000 of our goal. the doors will remain open! even though the threat of closing has lifted, we still need the remaining $5,000 to ensure the continuation of ALL of our programs and services. Reaching our goal of $50,000 will allow us to begin the new year in a healthier financial place.

“My life without this place… I don’t know what would happen to me.” –Rhea Perrier, 30 year member

Please help us close the gap and reach our goal by making a donation today using the enclosed form or on-line at www.cohoesseniorcenter.org. Your donation will ensure the continued legacy of the Cohoes Multi-Service Senior Citizens Center.

Sincerely,
